Damage on cultural heritage is often caused by environmental factors such as organisms, including pests and microorganisms. It is difficult to restore cultural
heritage back to the original state once damage has been inflicted. Fumigation and applying insecticide are mainly used on organic cultural objects such as
wooden sculptures, calligraphy pieces and apparel. A part of wooden cultural properties require termite control while excavated remains need appropriate
preservation processes to minimize and contain damage. Beside of that, we carry out preservation processes for cultural heritage made of wood, stone,
metal, and paper, which are heavily influenced by the surrounding environment to prevent damage by wind, heat, oxidation and moisture. For relics that
have unfortunately sustained significant damage, we also study the environment, techniques, tools, and materials at the time of production in order to
replicate them using modern technologies.
Through our experience and expertise, we have many outstanding performances from several projects in public and private industry. Particularly,
we offer advanced pest management service and environment monitoring for museums, galleries and exhibition because we have affiliates of Pest
control service to make high synergy for IPM service and termite control.
Carried out Integrated Pest Management (IPM) and fumigation of Deoksugung Palace, Seokjojeon, the Seoul Museum of History, the War Memorial of Korea,
the National Palace Museum of Korea, etc.
